Amplius Care is a healthcare chain primarily focused on qualified assessment and treatment for children, with or without their parents. We are launching a new residential care facility (HVB) for children aged 11-14 and are looking for several treatment pedagogues for night shifts. You will be part of an exciting journey where you have the opportunity to shape the operations together with us!

About Tegelvillan

Tegelvillan is a residential care facility for children aged 11-14 with psychosocial and/or neuropsychiatric issues, children with complex behavioral problems, and children with acting-out behaviors. Our operations are characterized by structure, security, and relationship-based work in a home-like environment. We provide treatment based on CBT principles, low-affective handling, and milieu therapy – where every situation is seen as an opportunity for learning.

Tegelvillan has five places. Treatment takes place in close collaboration with the facility's psychologist, child psychiatrist, and other professionals within the Amplius specialist team.

About the Role

Working as a treatment pedagogue at Amplius is a parenting assignment, as you act in the parents' stead in various ways. You are an important person for the child and have a significant impact on the child's quality of life. You need to have the ability to create a close and good relationship, look beyond the child's behavioral problems, and be attuned to the child's needs and understand their vulnerable situation. You have a soft and loving approach while taking adult responsibility and setting boundaries in a pedagogical manner.

Our approach is low-affective and rests on a developmental psychological foundation. We work milieu-therapeutically, where every hour should be meaningful and every situation is an opportunity for learning. We work with affect regulation, skills training, social learning theory, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

The work involves qualified nursing and motivational work, and we are now looking for you who want to contribute to creating a safe, secure, and caring environment for our children at night. Being able to meet a child in affect with a low-affective approach is a fundamental quality for working with us. You must also be able to meet the children's issues in a professional and respectful manner. You should have the ability to reflect on yourself and your own handling and be able to change your handling depending on what desired effect you want to have on the child's behavior. In addition to direct treatment work, your duties include documentation, cleaning of common areas, and preparing tasks for day staff. It also involves creating structure in the operations at night and contributing to maintaining security according to routines. Since security is paramount for us, this means we work with high staffing during the day and awake nights.

Working hours are scheduled according to a rolling 6-week roster, along with some day shifts for staff meetings. Other therapists work days, evenings, and weekends.

About You

We are looking for you who have at least two years of post-secondary education in social work as a social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, behavioral scientist, social worker, or have other education combined with experience that we assess as equivalent. You have at least four years of experience in treatment work at residential care facilities (HVB) or within LSS (Support and Service Act), as well as experience working with children and young people with neuropsychiatric disabilities. Knowledge of treatment methods such as Milieu Therapy, low-affective handling, and MI (Motivational Interviewing) is desirable.

As an employee with us, you need to be secure, stable, and free of pretension. These qualities are needed in situations that arise in meetings with children and their networks, but also in contact with colleagues and partners. You should have a good ability to reflect on the different situations that arise, see your own influence in what has happened, and be able to suggest new approaches, for example regarding the child's issues and behavior. It is an advantage if you have experience with clarifying pedagogy, solution-focused approaches, and low-affective handling. You distinguish between the personal and the professional, are flexible, and adapt easily to changing circumstances. You have the ability to create good collaborative relationships and are a pronounced team player. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Your knowledge of Swedish and English is good, both in speech and writing. Additional language skills are an advantage. Good computer skills and good knowledge of social documentation are necessary. A driver's license for passenger cars (Category B) is a requirement.
