About the role and your responsibilities

As a social pedagogue, you will:

• Drive active student health work at Svaleboskolan together with the rest of the staff.
• Be part of the student health team.
• Actively work to promote the school's work according to Chapters 1 and 2 of the Curriculum.
• Share responsibility for being an adult support in our student café.
• Work to promote attendance and participate in remedial measures.
• Conduct bullying investigations and work to create a sense of security.
• Plan and implement meaningful break activities and events together with the students.
• Be adult support in the lower secondary school's well-being group KiS.
• Be active in our collaboration with Culture and Leisure, Police, Social Services, and the local community.
• Work targeted with students who have problematic and norm-breaking behavior.
• Support students when transitioning out of our special education group.
• Collaborate with guardians and have meetings regarding students who need support with relationships and/or behavior.
• Have close collaboration and dialogue with school management regarding security, study environment, norms, and the need for measures.
• If necessary, temporary assignments at the lower and middle school levels may become relevant.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who are educated as a social pedagogue or alternatively have another education that the employer finds equivalent. Previous experience working with lower secondary school students is a requirement.

Furthermore, we are looking for you who:

• Want to work in a team together with the school's other social pedagogues.
• Have a great commitment and drive to create a good learning environment in the school throughout the school day, for security and well-being for all students.
• Are skilled at creating and maintaining good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
• Want to be involved in developing and improving the school's student health work.
• Stand behind the curriculum's value base and act daily based on it.

We want you who apply to have good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as the tasks require documentation. Furthermore, we assume that you have good computer skills and the ability to learn the school's various IT systems.

About the workplace

Svaleboskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) in the eastern parts of Lund Municipality. Approximately 800 students attend here, and more than 130 employees are distributed across lower, middle, and upper secondary levels. The school is led by a principal and three deputy principals. Svaleboskolan is located in a nature-friendly area with good access to artificial turf fields and nice outdoor areas. The school has an established systematic values-based work through our program Veberödsvägen. During 2025, we have collaborated with the foundation Tryggare Skola. The work has resulted in a concrete action plan regarding security and well-being, which we began working from during the autumn term of 2025. During the upcoming school year, we will continue to implement new legislation regarding security and study environment with our internal work. We hope that you, in particular, want to contribute with commitment and competence for a good work environment for students and staff.

Here we have a student health team, consisting of school psychologists, counselors, school nurses, study and career counselors, as well as deputy principals and the principal. Together with all staff, we work to create a secure and stimulating learning environment for all our students. We have a high proportion of qualified teachers, and the workplace is characterized by a good collaborative culture.

At the Child and School Administration, we work to create equality and good conditions for all children and students in our preschools, comprehensive schools, and adapted comprehensive schools to reach their goals. Together, we work for a unified and clear management of preschool and school in a modern and efficient organization, with the goal of enabling world-class education.
