Tanumskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) located in Tanumshede, the central town of Tanum Municipality. The school has approximately 520 students, of whom about 290 are in grades 7-9. Responsibilities

You will become part of our support team. The team includes special educators/special needs pedagogues in Swedish, a special educator in English, a special educator in mathematics, and a teacher of Swedish as a second language. In your work, you will assist educators in conducting pedagogical investigations, provide interventions at both group and individual levels, and support teachers with adaptations in the learning environment.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes

A requirement is that you are a certified teacher with a degree in special education with a focus on mathematics. Experience working with grades 7-9 is meritorious.

You have a good ability to see the unique needs of all students from different perspectives and the ability to find solutions that best suit each student. You are skilled at collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professional groups involved in the students' health and knowledge development. You are self-reliant and responsible. You are clear in your leadership, structured, and well-versed in the school's governing documents. We also value that you as a person are positive, flexible, and have a holistic view of students' development and learning.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

What We Offer

The position of special educator is a fixed-term appointment at 50% for the academic year 2026/2027, with an start date of August 11, 2026.

In the absence of qualified applicants, it may become relevant to hire someone as an uncertified teacher on a temporary basis according to the Education Act.
