Job Description
Malmö School of Culture is looking for a percussion teacher, preferably for small group instruction. We would also appreciate it if you have an interest in driving the development of percussion teaching and the entire operations at the school, as we work extensively with operational development and have a clear mandate to do so. Working hours are primarily in the afternoons and evenings, with some weekend duties.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with music teacher education specializing in percussion, or other pedagogical and musical education that the employer deems equivalent. A requirement is that you have prior experience in subject teaching at a school of culture or equivalent.
Education in both drum kit and classical percussion, preferably with a broad genre range, is highly meritorious. We also view positively experience in teaching both drum kit and classical percussion, as well as work with percussion ensembles in large and small projects.
You are a person with great commitment who puts the students and their development at the center, with a sensitivity to the students' interests. You are self-initiating, driven, take responsibility for your tasks, and function well in a group. You are relationship-building, maintain relationships, and have good empathetic skills.
You have good knowledge of the Swedish language and preferably one of Malmö's other major languages.
