Preschool I Ur och Skur Spetsbergen consists of six units and is located in a newly built area with a nice plot near the forest. We have an inspiring pedagogical environment both indoors and outdoors on our yard and in the forest, which creates fantastic opportunities for good teaching, creativity, and adventure.

Our goal is to work towards the goals of the preschool curriculum, both indoors and outdoors, throughout the year, using I Ur och Skur's methods, outdoor life, outdoor pedagogy, experience-based learning, and conscious leadership.

Through I Ur och Skur, you receive training in the pedagogy, a concept linked to the curriculum and school law. The pedagogy is based on experience-based learning and a co-discovering and participatory approach. As a childcare worker with us, you have the opportunity to develop through conscious reflective leadership. Of course, you will also have access to well-proven tools for working with outdoor pedagogy.

We want to give children the prerequisites to develop knowledge and skills with outdoor activities that they will benefit from throughout their lives. Give them a close relationship with nature and develop knowledge and security in being there. Learn with the whole body and all senses.

We see the childcare worker exam as a requirement and interest in outdoor pedagogy, experience-based learning, and leadership as a prerequisite for the role of childcare worker in our operations. If you can play an instrument, it is absolutely welcome!

We expect you to be professional, task-oriented, and to uphold an approach and treatment based on dialogue and shared vision.

We value the ability to consider the individual child's as well as the group's needs in an interaction with the aim of creating accessible learning environments where every child can grow and develop based on individual prerequisites.

You take responsibility for the common work environment at the preschool and create good relationships with both children, guardians, and colleagues.

Friluftsfrämjandet I Ur och Skur Utveckling is the main operator of the preschool and has ten additional preschools/schools in its organization, as well as approximately 150 licensed preschools. The headquarters are in Stockholm. Friluftsfrämjandet, a non-profit national organization with 131 years of experience in outdoor life, owns the company. The first I Ur och Skur preschool was started 39 years ago, and the pedagogy has developed since then.
