Work as a teacher in the Preschool Class.
In the role of a teacher, you are expected to work based on a shared understanding of the organization's mission, where the best interests, needs, and wishes of children and young people are at the center. Through your professional competence and active collaboration, you contribute to ensuring every child's and student's entire educational journey. Your effort in daily meetings and dialogue with students, guardians, and colleagues is crucial to achieving the goal: an equal education and high-quality teaching where all children and students succeed.
You are expected to take overall responsibility for the results achieved, both academically and socially, and contribute to a safe and inclusive education and teaching. With a positive and solution-oriented approach, you work from a holistic view of the child's and student's development and learning. Ultimately, the assignment is about ensuring that every child and student receives the best possible education and teaching, based on both national and local regulatory documents and the school's knowledge and value-based mission. As a teacher, you have a principal as your direct manager, and you are part of a work team together with your colleagues, led by a team leader.
In the role of a teacher, you are responsible for:
- Planning, implementing, following up, and evaluating teaching based on the school's regulatory documents.
- Participating in collegial learning to enable joint planning, assessment, and grading.
- Participating in individual and joint school/skill development based on the students' needs.
- Writing assessments, individual development plans, evaluations, and other documentation.
- Actively contributing to work teams, subject groups, teams, working groups, staff meetings, and workplace meetings.
- Managing mentorship with regular student/parent contacts, development meetings, as well as class/parent meetings.
- Participating in systematic quality work and development work based on national and local regulatory documents.
- Preventing, investigating, and handling problematic absenteeism, as well as promoting regular attendance.
- Adapting learning environments and supporting students with guidance and stimulation, extra adjustments, and contributing to investigations.
- Participating in value-based work to promote safety and study environment, as well as preventing bullying and harassment.
- Handling school social and unplanned student incidents during, for example, recess supervision and pedagogical lunches.
- Contributing to the development of the school's digital work and the integration of digital tools in teaching.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have completed a teacher education with eligibility and certification, which is a basic requirement for the position. You have good knowledge of the Education Act, the curriculum (Lgr22), and other relevant regulatory documents and can apply these in your daily work. Experience in teaching, mentorship, and working with language and knowledge-developing methods is meritorious, especially if you have experience working with students in need of support or in multilingual and multicultural environments.
You are comfortable using and integrating digital tools in teaching and have experience with digital platforms for pedagogical work and documentation. Additionally, you have the ability to create safe and inclusive learning environments that promote study environment, well-being, and student health.
Competency Profile
We are looking for you who, in your professional role, always put the child's and student's needs at the center. You have a strong ability to take responsibility for daily work and contribute to students' development through a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. As goal- and result-oriented, you strive to develop both your own teaching and the organization as a whole, always with the student's best interest in focus.
You are a solution-oriented and structured person who can adapt your working methods to different needs and conditions. With a positive attitude and the ability to build trusting relationships, you create good collaborations with students, guardians, and colleagues.
We value your engagement in collegial learning and your willingness to contribute to the school's development work. You work from a value base that promotes safety, respect, and study environment, and your leadership is characterized by trust and confidence.
Personal suitability is given great weight.
