We are currently looking for several childcare assistants (barnskötare) for our new resource school (F-6). The positions are permanent, ranging from 75-100%, starting July 27, 2026.

About the Workplace

The resource school is centrally located near Mörby Centrum and Kyrkskolan. Approximately 30 students will attend the school in four classes. Staff work here in well-functioning teams alongside engaged and experienced colleagues. Job Responsibilities

As a childcare assistant, you will assist with daily care needs, teaching, and breaks during school and after-school hours to support students academically and socially. As a person, you need to be positive, flexible, low-affective, and have experience working in a school setting.

Tasks that may be included in your role as a childcare assistant are:

Helping students so that the teacher can focus on teaching
Assisting students with daily care needs such as clothing, hygiene, meals, etc.
Assisting the teacher in instruction and supporting students in their learning
Working to ensure the entire class has a sense of security and study peace
Following students closely so they receive support in their learning and social situations
Gathering information and compiling materials regarding the student's social and academic development
Participating in meetings such as EHK, EHT, development conferences, or other meetings regarding students
Maintaining continuous contact with guardians as needed
Substituting in the classroom in case of the teacher's temporary absence, as needed

You work based on the curriculum goals in Lgr22 and are involved in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the after-school center's pedagogical activities together with your colleagues in the team. As a childcare assistant, you support students in their development and ensure a safe environment.

About the Positions

Since we are hiring several childcare assistants, the following applies:

Working hours between 07:00-17:30
Permanent or fixed-term contracts
Employment percentage between 75-100%, depending on whether it involves both school and after-school care or only one of the activities

You will work in close collaboration with after-school teachers, preschool teachers, teachers, and other staff in the activity.

Qualifications

As a childcare assistant, you are an important part of the students' entire school day. You work both care-oriented and pedagogically to create security, structure, and good relationships. You support students socially and academically and contribute to making the after-school center's activities meaningful, accessible, and developmental.

The activity is based on jointly decided structures, pedagogical methods, and adaptations. All employees are expected to work consistently based on the activity's common approach to create recognition and security for the students.

We are looking for someone who:

Is educated as a Childcare Assistant (Barnskötare) or has equivalent education/experience from work within pedagogical activities
Has very good knowledge of Swedish (both spoken and written).

It is also meritorious if you have:

Several years of experience working in after-school centers or other pedagogical activities.
Experience working with children with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorder) diagnoses.
Experience working in integrated (age-homogeneous) after-school centers.

As a person, you are secure in yourself and in your role, and you are confident and stable in new contexts where both children and parents find security with you. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
