The schools in Sunne Municipality organize education based on the basic view that children and students can and want to learn and develop, as well as with the awareness that development requires long-term thinking, endurance, and a holistic perspective. Through clear pedagogical relational leadership, we want to create a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment with variation and challenges. We develop teaching in our operations based on language- and knowledge-developing approaches and differentiated instruction. Responsibilities:

As a student assistant, you work with regularly supporting and following students during their school day, both in classroom situations and during breaks, and contribute to guiding the student in the long-term work to achieve the school's social and knowledge goals.

The position involves physically demanding tasks where there may be moving and lifting of students. You therefore need to have good physical fitness and enjoy active work. You will collaborate with mentors, school leadership, and student health services, and be involved in planning around students' school days and adapting teaching based on their needs. You help create a safe foundation and good conditions for students' development and learning. You enjoy playing, leading play, being careful with schedules, rules, and routines, and you enjoy movement and nature.

Qualifications:

We are looking for you who have at least a three-year upper secondary education with a pedagogical orientation or education within care and nursing. It is meritorious if you have a few years of experience working with students in need of special support.

We would like you to have knowledge of and experience with interaction in adapted comprehensive school, work with students with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders), and low-affective interaction. Experience from work within LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and care and nursing, especially with children and young adults, is also meritorious.

You have a professional approach in meetings with students, guardians, and colleagues. To thrive and succeed in the role, you are a good collaborator who values building safe and trusting relationships.
