Your Role

As a preschool assistant here, you work in a team together with preschool teachers and other assistants to create a joyful, educational, and meaningful teaching experience for every child. In your role, you contribute to creating care, security, and pedagogical activities that promote children's development and learning. Together with your colleagues, you plan, implement, follow up, and evaluate the operations based on the preschool curriculum, regulatory documents, and established goals. You will belong to the older children's department but work with all age groups as needed. We help each other between departments and have a close and non-hierarchical collaboration. You are also responsible for conducting teaching and activities related to the curriculum.

Furthermore, you actively participate in pedagogical documentation and document children's learning processes within the framework of systematic quality work. The work also includes participation in project work, attending parent meetings, development talks, pedagogical discussions, contact with guardians, and opening and closing the preschool.

Your Experience

For this position, you must have:

• Upper secondary or post-secondary education as a preschool assistant
• Experience working as a preschool assistant in a preschool setting
• Experience participating in development talks and parent meetings
• Knowledge and experience working with teaching based on the curriculum content
• Good digital competence and experience using digital tools
• Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Experience working with children in need of special support
• Good knowledge of NPD diagnoses (Neurodevelopmental Disorders)
• Experience working with children of all ages
• Experience working with language-developing approaches
• Experience participating in the preschool's development and quality work.
