The Municipal Administration is responsible for overall development, municipal and corporate governance, as well as various projects. In total, we have approximately 70 employees working within municipal leadership, citizen services, business affairs, finance, HR, communications, IT, and the unit for security, safety, and public health.

Through its various units, the Municipal Administration provides support and service to other departments and operates in direct contact with elected officials, citizens, visitors, and business owners.

We are now looking for an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator who wants to help strengthen the municipality's collective capacity for extraordinary events and heightened readiness. The work focuses specifically on activities regulated by the Social Services Act and aims to ensure that vital societal functions can be maintained even during disruptions.

Responsibilities

The work is based on legal requirements, national goals, and local needs, and is carried out in close collaboration with relevant operations. In this role, you will work systematically with issues related to collaboration and leadership, continuity management, emergency planning, training initiatives, and exercises.

You will be organizationally part of the Municipal Administration, where you will become part of a team with two colleagues within crisis preparedness. Initially, the focus will be on the Care and Elderly Care Administration and the Employment and Welfare Administration, where a main task will be to develop these administrations' capacity in crises and heightened readiness.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have an academic education, preferably in crisis management or preparedness, social sciences, or health and social care. Other education combined with relevant experience may also be considered.

You have worked within public administration or a politically governed organization and have experience in crisis preparedness and civil defense. You are accustomed to working with overarching plans and strategies, such as risk and vulnerability analyses and continuity planning. You also have experience in investigative and analytical work and thrive when independently planning, driving, and structuring processes. Since the position involves producing written plans and strategies, very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is a requirement.

It is meritorious if you have good knowledge of the organization and mission of social services and municipal health care. A B-driving license is not a requirement, but it is an advantage as the position may occasionally involve car travel.

Employment type: Permanent position.
