At the Swedish Armed Forces Technical School (FMTS), there are four units, where the staff unit's main task is to support the Commander of FMTS. J4 is a department within the staff unit responsible for handling logistics and infrastructure, among other things.

We are now looking for a colleague to join our department at FMTS staff as an Infrastructure Maintenance Administrator. Here, you will primarily work with and manage the unit's space requirements and support the preparation of documentation within the space acquisition process.

Main Responsibilities

As an Infrastructure Maintenance Administrator, you will participate in infrastructure matters together with the FMTS Infrastructure Coordinator and support FMTS units. You will collaborate with representatives for local supply issues and the state's property owner representative, the Fortification Agency, regarding property matters. The role also includes assisting with land and environmental issues, such as land damage regulation and environmental matters.

Examples of tasks include:

  • Assisting in investigations regarding space utilization
  • Supporting unit departments when ordering property-related supplementary services
  • Participating in the acquisition and decommissioning of premises
  • Acting as the operation's representative in construction projects and coordinating contacts with relevant functional representatives within the Swedish Armed Forces
  • Providing support for maintenance at the garrison
  • As a staff member, you will also contribute to coordination and support for other parts of the staff at FMTS. The position also includes performing other tasks assigned by the department manager.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Upper secondary education in construction or property management, or higher, and/or equivalent knowledge considered relevant by the employer
  • At least 3 years of experience in the infrastructure sector
  • Category B driver's license
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English

  • Knowledge and experience from the Swedish Armed Forces' operations, specifically the Swedish Armed Forces' space acquisition process, PRIO (SAP), and the case management system VIDAR
  • Completed the Swedish Armed Forces' internal training in protection and facility technology

Other Information

  • Employment type: Permanent position. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those not already employed by the agency.

The Swedish Armed Forces Technical School, FMTS, headquartered in Halmstad, is an air force unit where technology is at the center. The unit's operations rest on three pillars – development, education, and combat unit production.
