The Naval Workshops are now looking for a Systems Engineer specializing in diving systems in Karlskrona, who is interested in workshop services, diving operations, and their various systems. As a Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to develop, maintain, and support the Swedish Armed Forces' diving operations.

About the Department

The Diving Section is one of three sections within the Naval Workshops' Naval Material Department, responsible for maintaining various equipment, diving gear, and life-saving material used by the Navy, among others. The department currently consists of 37 employees operating in central and southern Sweden.

Main Responsibilities

As a Systems Engineer, you perform preventive and corrective maintenance on, among other things, the Navy's diving equipment. You have in-depth system knowledge regarding the maintenance of Helmet Diving 12 and OMD 10, and you actively contribute to development and production improvements. The tasks are highly varied, and we also support the development and procurement of future diving equipment.

You are responsible for technical documentation, protocols, and participate in follow-up and planning meetings regarding current diving systems.

You will work independently or in work teams, and some tasks are performed at other locations, so travel is part of the role.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Approved upper secondary education or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way that the employer deems equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance of the Swedish Armed Forces' diving systems, Helmet Diving 12, and OMD 10.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good ability to communicate in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
  • Category B driver's license (manual transmission).

MERITORIOUS

  • Previous experience working as a service technician for the Navy's diving systems.
  • Experience working in SAP.
  • Forklift training and military pre-service certificate.

Employment type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those not already employed by the agency.
