WORK ASSIGNMENTS

We are now looking for an additional GIS Coordinator who, together with our current GIS Coordinator, will be responsible for the municipality's GIS and geodata work. The position involves working with all departments and municipal companies. The work entails close collaboration with colleagues within the operations, where you are responsible for daily maintenance and administration. Together with the existing GIS Coordinator, you will also be responsible for driving the more long-term development work in the area.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsibility for the operation and maintenance of systems, including contact with system suppliers/consultants.
• Driving the development of working methods and processes.
• Coordinating and developing data storage.
• Practical map and GIS work, such as map ordering, updating and refreshing map databases, performing transformations, etc.
• Performing GIS analyses for municipal needs.

We work with QGIS, ArcGIS/GAIDA, FME Form and Flow, Origo Maps, GeoServer, and TopoCAD/TopoDirekt, among other tools.

The position is organized within the Land and Development Unit, under the Technology, Leisure, and Culture Administration. Your closest colleagues in the group, besides the GIS Coordinator, are project managers for land/infrastructure and construction, land managers, and surveying engineers.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who apply for the position have:

• A university education in Cartography/GIS, or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent.
• Experience working with geographic information technology and databases.
• Experience administering systems within the field.
• Very good ability to communicate in Swedish.
• Good computer skills.
• An interest in developing within the GIS field.

A prerequisite for this is that you have a pronounced service orientation and a consultative approach. Furthermore, you are meticulous, structured, and analytical, and make well-founded decisions from a holistic perspective.
