Your Role

We are looking for an analytical and communicative Transport Manager who wants to influence the progress of our business within both submarines and surface vessels. Here you will work with exciting and completely unique products both above and below the surface while collaborating with colleagues who all share our challenge – to make the world a safer place!

A Customs and Transport Manager plays a central and crucial role in the logistics management of materials to and from the purchasing department. The daily work involves responsibility for customs handling, export, dangerous goods, special transports, transport agreements, and delivery terms. The Transport Manager also handles all shipment inquiries received from other departments. Additional tasks may be assigned based on instructions from the Transport Manager's supervisor.

You will be part of the Logistics area within Quality & Logistics, which currently consists of approximately 55 employees. You will report to the Head of Logistics.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that relevant customs permits exist for all import and export of materials to and from abroad.
• Performing export controls on export-controlled material and import declarations for all imports, as well as minimizing customs duties.
• Booking transport for all export shipments, all dangerous goods shipments, and assisting with domestic transports and special transports.
• Documenting and registering all exports.
• Serving as the company's expert function for dangerous goods, high-value transports, and delivery terms, and completing relevant training for handling dangerous goods across all modes of transport.
• Ensuring that transport agreements and carrier relationships are maintained.
• Handling inquiries from projects regarding delivery terms, customs costs, etc.

Your Profile

To thrive in the role of Customs and Transport Manager, one must be organized and structured with great attention to detail. The daily work has significant variation and requires both the ability to prioritize and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. A success factor in the role is also high social competence and the ability to communicate clearly in both English and Swedish, as communication occurs with many stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Education within logistics or 3 years of relevant experience in corresponding tasks.
• Good knowledge of Office programs, particularly Excel.
