Job Description

The municipality's operations are currently divided into nine departments. One of these is the Operations and Services Department, which provides the Municipality of Karlskrona with essential public services. The Water and Harbour Department is responsible, among other things, for the operation and maintenance of the municipality's drinking water supply, wastewater management, as well as harbors and harbor areas.

We are seven employees at the laboratory, located at the waterworks in Lyckeby. The laboratory is accredited by Swedac for the analyses performed. Analyses of drinking and wastewater from the municipality's own facilities make up the majority of the work, but private customers and companies also submit analysis assignments to us. Our tasks include both chemical and microbiological analyses.

Your duties will consist of microbiological laboratory work, including associated quality control and related tasks. The work should be performed in a structured, precise, and quality-oriented manner. Customer contact, both internal and with the general public, is part of the role.

Qualifications

• You have a university or college education that includes microbiology.
• You have experience with laboratory work.
• You are proficient in computer skills.
• A B-class driver's license is an advantage.
