Personal assistance is a support measure under the LSS Act (The Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to people who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Every client is unique, and your tasks will vary according to the client's needs. You value the client's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to making daily life run smoothly.

About the position

The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done.

We are now looking for you who fits the following criteria:

• Want to work for a young man in his mid-20s living in Obbola
• Have good knowledge of Swedish
• Have a driver's license and access to a car
• The client enjoys being outdoors and active. He likes cycling, playing ball, and skiing (sitting ski). Therefore, it is a requirement that you have good physical fitness and can participate unimpeded in these activities.
• Can swim, as the client goes skiing and swims regularly. (Double assistance occurs during these times).

It is also an advantage if you:

• Have experience in similar work
• Have experience with autism/developmental disability/intellectual disability
• Share the client's interests, such as playing games, doing puzzles, and looking at cars, enjoy talking about car brands, cycling, playing ball, and skiing (sitting ski).

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, degree of employment, and salary:

The current form of employment is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment degree of approximately 50%, 20 hours/week.

Working hours are scheduled during daytime, both on weekdays and weekends.

The working hours look as follows: Weekdays 07:30–16:00/16:30. Weekend shifts also occur, where you start a bit later and finish a bit later, for example, 10:00–18:00.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other benefits occur according to the collective agreement.

Start date: Immediately/according to agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting an employment with us at Humana is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID document and any documents that prove the right to work within Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.
