The Department for Support for People with Disabilities is now seeking a committed and driven Coordinator for Violence in Intimate Relationships (VINR) who wants to plan, coordinate, and develop the department's systematic work in this area. Job Responsibilities

As a coordinator here, you will play a key role in translating Malmö City's overarching strategies into close-to-practice work within the Department for Support for People with Disabilities. You are responsible for driving and ensuring the quality of the violence-prevention work based on our target group's specific needs. The assignment is based on Malmö City's "A Plan Free from Violence – a Common Concern 2022–2026". The work involves identifying needs and developing action plans, planning and conducting training, and following up on and evaluating ongoing work within the department. You stay updated on current legislation and research and spread knowledge by educating and informing civil servants, employees, user organizations, and other relevant actors. The assignment also includes providing consultation and practice-oriented support to the department's employees, as well as acting as an expert support in complex cases. The role includes representing the department in various networks.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in Social Work or another university degree that the employer deems equivalent.
  • Experience working with violence in intimate relationships and gender equality issues.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Good knowledge of legislation, interventions, and collaboration models in the field.
  • Experience in coordination, project management, or process leadership.
  • Documented experience in functioning consultatively and providing practice-oriented support and supervision.
  • Good command of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Additional qualifications include experience from a politically governed organization, knowledge of AKK (Accessible Communication and Support), accessible communication, sign language, and other languages, as we meet a broad target group. As a person, you are proactive, analytical, and confident in working independently with structure. Your strong collaboration skills make it easy for you to listen to different perspectives and create engagement. You are a communicative and inspiring colleague who is skilled at conveying knowledge and motivating others in their work so that the VINR work makes a difference in the core mission.
