Järfälla Adult Education and Activity Responsibility operates municipal adult education in both authorized and self-run modes and works with the municipality's activity responsibility, KAA. The operations are divided between Järfälla Learning Center and Youth and Adult Guidance, where the focus is on the application and admission process as well as KAA.

This autumn, we will offer additional measures to reduce youth exclusion. These measures will offer young people the opportunity to strengthen their mental well-being through activities aimed at increasing motivation and self-awareness, as well as reducing perceived stress and social exclusion. Examples of activities include guiding and motivating conversations, health-promoting lectures and workshops, as well as interesting and relevant study visits and creative activities.

We are therefore looking for an engaged Youth Coach for the unit. You will work with young people aged 16-24 who are not attending upper secondary school, have not completed their upper secondary education, and lack employment. The position is located in Jakobsberg, close to commuter trains and buses.

Responsibilities

As a Youth Coach, you play a key role in strengthening and guiding young people towards better well-being and a more positive future. By meeting each individual based on their unique conditions, you work to map needs and opportunities, creating conditions for development and growth. You plan, implement, and follow up both individually and in groups, contributing to security, motivation, and self-insight.

You drive and develop inspiring measures ranging from strengthening conversations to health-promoting activities, study visits, and creative projects. The work is both independent and collaborative, giving you the opportunity to influence and shape the content based on the target group's needs.

The following tasks are included in the Youth Coach position:

• Identify and map the target group's needs and conditions
• Plan, implement, and follow up on activities adapted to the individual's and group's unique situation, for example, health-promoting measures, study visits, and creative activities
• Collaborate with various actors to broaden young people's opportunities
• Responsible for some administration and documentation related to the work

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are passionate about young people and can contribute experience of working with the target group. Your drive is central to this task, and you want to make a difference for young people.

As a person, you are enthusiastic and structured. You enjoy working together with others.

You are self-reliant and structured, which allows you to plan, follow up, and document measures in a legally secure manner. At the same time, you are flexible and can adapt your working methods based on young people's individual needs and changing situations. You have a holistic perspective on the young person's life situation and can see how different measures and actors collaborate to create conditions for approaching studies or work. You communicate easily with other operations and create good relationships and networks that promote collaboration around the young person.

Requirements:

• Ongoing or completed university degree with a behavioral science or social science orientation, or another university degree in combination with work experience that the employer deems relevant
• Experience in relationship-building work directed towards young people living in exclusion
• Good experience in work focused on mental health issues
• Good experience in motivational work
• Good computer skills
