Are you looking for a key role with the task of translating treatment goals from the team into practical work? Then the job as a Treatment Coordinator at SiS is a meaningful position. You will work in a team of dedicated colleagues, and with your combined competence, you have the opportunity to achieve good results.

SiS Youth Homes Hässleholm is planning to launch a new unit in Karlsvik-Höör and is therefore seeking a Treatment Coordinator. The position offers a unique opportunity to participate in launching a new operation.

Job Description

The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is tasked with receiving adults and youths who have problems with crime, drug abuse, or other antisocial behavior. In Hässleholm, we receive youths aged 12–15 with a higher security level. They begin their care period on units that conduct structured assessments of their treatment needs with recommendations for further interventions. The youths can then move to our treatment units, where they work on identified risk areas through their individual treatment plans. Our units in Hässleholm are lockable, but in Höör, approximately 30 minutes away, is our new open unit.

About the unit: The unit in Höör is expected to open in late 2026 and will be part of SiS Youth Homes Hässleholm's care chain. The date is preliminary and subject to change. Youths will be placed on the current unit when they no longer require the heightened security provided in Hässleholm. The unit has a lower security level compared to the operations in Hässleholm, and the 7 youths in residence are training on the path toward a more independent life and are being prepared for subsequent open care forms or interventions. The youths are primary and secondary school students and are planned to attend school in Hässleholm. This means the position regularly involves travel during working hours and duty in Hässleholm, as the Treatment Coordinator is present on school days.

About the role of Treatment Coordinator: The role involves coordinating and following up on weekly meetings, parent meetings, treatment interventions, and individual activity schedules. You play a key role in translating goals from the treatment plan into practical operations. The duties also include conducting individual conversations, participating in treatment collegiums, collaborating on treatment plans, and planning and following up on ADAD (Assessment of Daily Activities and Development) during admission, transfer, and discharge. As a Treatment Coordinator, you also have additional responsibility for mentoring new employees and interns. An important shared task for all employees is to contribute to creating a safe environment and ensuring that security on the institution is maintained according to procedures. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Qualifications

Your personal suitability is key to life-changing change. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and involvement. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of humanity, are empathetic, and can build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressurized situations. You also have a good ability to collaborate with others and are willing to share your knowledge with colleagues. In your role as a Treatment Coordinator, you will have individual responsibility for several interventions in the treatment plan as well as responsibility on the unit, which requires experience and the ability to coordinate the work. You need to be good at planning and structuring your work, able to work independently, and take initiative. Since the treatment work is documented and discussed with several different actors, high demands are placed on good Swedish skills in both speech and writing.

You must also have:

  • Appropriate higher education, such as a degree in social work, social pedagogy, or other care/behavioral science education, or alternatively post-secondary education such as a treatment pedagogue, with substantial experience in program operations.
  • Experience in conducting motivational and treatment work individually and/or in groups.
  • Good Swedish skills in speech and writing.
  • Category B driver's license.

At SiS, we care about good employee relations. This means that as an employee, you take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good collaboration. Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period.

Start date according to agreement.

Working hours are according to schedule: day, evening, and weekend.

The position is at our unit outside Höör, but during the introduction and for training, duty may take place in Hässleholm.

As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training alternates between theory and guided introduction, and it prepares you for the therapist role in SiS operations.

SiS actively works against all forms of discrimination and welcomes all applicants.

For work at our institutions, SiS conducts register checks before employment.
