About the position
Personal assistance is a service under the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Certain Functionally Disabled People). In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everyday occurrences and basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the client's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.
The client is a 50-year-old man living in Bara, just outside Malmö. The client's individual needs dictate the workday, and tasks may include help with mobility, personal care, training, communication, as well as household chores and activities both inside and outside the home.
Who are you?
The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you and the client.
As a person, you need to be flexible, social, and have a sense of humor.
Requirements for the position:
- Previous experience working in healthcare/care or as a personal assistant.
- Valid B-class driver's license and access to your own car (to commute to work).
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Good physical condition.
- Non-smoker.
Personal suitability will be given great weight. Our client prefers female applicants, but all applications will be considered.
Working hours, degree of employment, and salary
The current form of employment is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment degree of approximately 50%. Shifts are scheduled for days and evenings on weekdays and weekends. Working hours vary and are 09:00–14:30, 09:00–13:30, 16:00–21:55, and 17:30–21:55.
Fixed hourly wage by agreement, and other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.
Start date: Immediately or by agreement.
