Do you want to lead an engaged team that makes a concrete difference for children and parents every day? We are expanding our operations and are now looking for a Team Leader who wants to develop and strengthen our early and preventive family support.

About the Workplace

In the city, the Social Services Department is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable residents to become independent in life so that they can take an active part in society.

We have undergone an exciting organizational change with a focus on creating a more accessible social services system based on three main areas: authority, interventions and services, and housing. We have high ambitions. But to succeed, we need you.

The Family Centers and our mobile family support belong to the "Interventions and Services" operational area and involve early and preventive work directed at families with children. We have 6 family centers, and in September, we will launch our mobile family support aimed at our isolated Child Health Centers (BVC).

The unit is an important part of the development towards a more accessible social service; we should be where the residents are, offering counseling, information, and interventions without prior needs assessment. The department is undergoing a comprehensive implementation of "Signs of Safety," which will shape all operations. We believe in finding solutions within the existing network and building on what works.

You will be employed under a Unit Manager who leads the entire unit.

Job Responsibilities

As a Team Leader, you are the operational leader in daily life. You have no personnel or budgetary responsibility, but you have a clear mandate to maintain quality, structure, and methodology, and to ensure that the team is efficient and matches the needs of the families.

You will have overall responsibility for six family centers and a mobile family support unit, where a total of 10 employees work in close collaboration with Child Health Centers (BVC), Maternal Health Services, and preschools. Together, you offer accessible support to expectant parents and families with young children. We actively work to create equality across our different family centers, with the starting point being to promote collaboration with other actors involved in family center work and to offer our citizens similar support. During the autumn, the focus will also be on launching the mobile family support aimed at isolated Child Health Centers. The role also includes coordinating and conducting parenting courses and collaborating with the Family House.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Lead, coach, and develop employees in daily work
  • Ensure high quality in early and preventive support and conduct case reviews
  • Drive development work and strengthen collaboration with Child Health Centers, Maternal Health Services, preschools, and other actors
  • Responsible for planning, follow-up, and operational development
  • Represent the operation in internal and external collaboration forums

Qualifications

Requirements for the job

  • A degree in Social Work or another academic degree in social work with at least 180 higher education credits, which the employer considers equivalent
  • At least 4 years of experience working with children, young people, or adults within social services
  • Experience working at a Family Center
  • Good experience of the Social Services Department's work and the laws and regulations we work under
  • Experience in practicing evidence-based methods
  • Ease in using and learning digital systems, as well as the ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing

Meritorious

  • Experience working as a leader
  • Courses in leadership, such as developmental leadership and coaching leadership
  • Training/knowledge in e.g., Signs of Safety, Växa Tryggt, Barnsäkert, group leader training in e.g., ABC, Trygghetscirkeln, FÖS.
  • Knowledge of the journal system Journal Digital
  • Having a B-driver's license and a desire to drive a car
