Job Description

We are now looking for a School Social Worker (Skolkurator) for Möllevångsskolan! In this role, you will have a special responsibility for students in need of support from a social and psychosocial perspective, and you will actively participate in and assist the school management in school development work.

With your expertise, you contribute to ensuring that appropriate support measures for students are identified and offered. Furthermore, you work to identify and create opportunities for change and development at the student, group, and organizational levels to promote students' health, learning, security, and development. The role also includes working for an equitable learning environment where students are given the prerequisites to achieve knowledge goals and develop based on their own conditions.

You will become part of Möllevångsskolan's student health team. In addition to the above, your duties include among other things:

• Contribute knowledge about risk and protective factors related to students' health, attendance, social situation, and learning.
• Monitor student absenteeism and contribute to the school's work in promoting attendance.
• Conduct school social surveys and social assessments as needed.
• Investigate and analyze reports of bullying/harassment and contribute to the school's safety and equal treatment work.
• Offer supervision, consultation, and advice to school staff from a social perspective.
• Collaborate with students, guardians, school staff, and external actors as needed regarding interventions for students.
• Collaborate with authorities and other operations in preventive work concerning the school or the City of Malmö.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in Social Work (Social Work/Socionom) and at least two years of experience in social work with children and young people. Experience working as a School Social Worker is preferred.

You have good insight into the school's goals and governing documents, as well as knowledge of other departments and operations such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP). Furthermore, you have knowledge of practice and guidelines within the field. It is meritorious if you have a license as a Health Care Social Worker.

As a person, you are flexible and have an easy time creating and maintaining good relationships. You work independently, take initiative, and have good collaboration skills. You have the ability to switch between different perspectives and can work at the organizational, group, and individual levels. The work can be intensive at times, which requires good structure and stress tolerance.
