Job Responsibilities
You will work as a school counselor with responsibility for grades 7–9.
You will work together with the school social team, which consists of counselors, student coordinators (grade 1), and deputy principals for each respective stage. The school social team has joint planning and method development once a week. You will work on school social investigations and complex absenteeism cases. You will support students who need extended counseling support, in collaboration with student coordinators and mentors. You are part of the school's student health team together with other specialist functions.
Qualifications
You have a degree in social work and at least two years of experience working with children and young people. We prefer that you have experience working as a school counselor. Experience working according to the Student Health Methodology (EHM) is an advantage.
You have a good understanding of the school's goals and governing documents, knowledge of other municipal departments, such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP), and knowledge of practice and guidelines within the field.
As a person, you easily build relationships, are self-directed, and collaborative. The work can be intensive at times, which requires stress resilience.
