Description

Mariebergsskolan is a lower secondary school with just over 410 students in grades 7–9. The student body represents a cross-section of our society, and approximately 50 staff members work at the school. We are a school to be proud of, with high levels of well-being among both students and staff. We are currently in an exciting phase where we continue to develop the school's health profile, focusing on health-promoting work regarding mental and physical health.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will teach woodwork and metalwork for grades 7 to 9. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating your teaching, as well as grading and assessing students' work. You encourage students to think independently and find their own solutions in their craft projects. Through collaboration with your subject colleagues, you will help develop the craft subject at the school. You will work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues to create the best possible conditions for our students. As a teacher at Mariebergsskolan, you are also expected to play an active role in the preventive and promoting student health work, with a focus on mental and physical health, accessible learning environments, and school attendance.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified and qualified teacher in woodwork and metalwork. Previous experience in the subject is considered an advantage. You are flexible, calm, have good collaboration skills, and are skilled at building good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Naturally, you have a strong interest in the learning of children and young people. As a person, you are driven, unpretentious, and have a salutogenic approach. You have a good ability to work with other people; to listen, show empathy, and respect.
