Larv Tråvad School is looking for a Special Needs Teacher

Larv Tråvad School is a preschool to grade 6 school with strong cohesion, dedicated colleagues, and close relationships between students and staff. We are now looking for a special needs teacher who wants to become an important part of our team.

Your role

As a special needs teacher with us, you will work closely with students, guardians, and colleagues to create a safe and accessible learning environment. You will, among other things, work with adaptations and special support inside and outside the classroom, and conduct pedagogical assessments and investigations. You will also supervise and support colleagues in their daily work with the students. Collaboration with the Student Health Team is part of the preventive work.

All schools have implemented the EHM – Student Health Meeting model, which is a major part of the preventive and health-promoting work carried out in the schools. In this model, the Student Health Team and the school's various professions collaborate to regularly, in recurring meetings, identify challenges and opportunities long before the interventions become solely remedial in nature.

Your knowledge and experience

We are looking for you who are educated as a special needs teacher (or have other pedagogical education with experience in special needs work). Previous experience in special needs work is meritorious.

You are secure, stable, and have the ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have good collaboration skills and a solution-focused approach. You want to work closely with students and are passionate about ensuring everyone succeeds in school. We see that you have a very good ability to work both goal-oriented and solution-focused based on current guidelines, with the students' best interests always in focus.

Scope and start date

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date as agreed. The position is a holiday cover position.

Your future workplace

Larv Tråvad School is a unit with two schools located in Larv and Tråvad. Tråvad School is a preschool to grade 3 school. The school is newly built and has an incredibly cool schoolyard with many opportunities for activity and learning. Larv School is newly renovated and has one of the municipality's largest schoolyards in terms of square meters per student. In Larv, students are in grades 4–6. There are great opportunities for play and learning.

We work on the principle that all children are everyone's children. This is particularly noticeable in our meetings and in daily work, where everyone working at the school takes responsibility for the students by being present, supporting, and encouraging. The two schools have good cooperation and meet regularly both in staff groups and through joint activities at the schools, such as outdoor days. After-school care is available at both schools, and the staff working in after-school care also collaborate in the school. They are an invaluable asset in the daily work with our students.

Other

Teaching certification or special needs education is a requirement for permanent employment.
