Pajala Municipality is looking for an engaged Business Developer who wants to play a key role in strengthening the municipality's business climate. The position is both strategic and operational, offering a varied daily routine with great opportunities to influence the municipality's development.

As a Business Developer, you work to create good conditions for entrepreneurship in the municipality. This means developing relationships with existing companies, contributing to new establishments, and strengthening Pajala as an attractive place for business and establishment. You play a central role in the dialogue between the municipality, entrepreneurs, and external actors, and actively participate in networks, company visits, meetings, and various development projects. Since Pajala is a sparsely populated municipality with many small villages across its entire area, rural development is something that permeates the role.

Responsibilities

• Be the municipality's main contact person towards the business community
• Promote dialogue, collaboration, and relationship building
• Drive and coordinate business initiatives and development projects
• Plan and conduct company visits, meetings, and activities
• Follow external trends and contribute with analysis and development proposals
• Collaborate with politicians, civil servants, and external partners

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are solution-oriented, engaged, and communicative. You thrive in an outward-facing role, build trust easily, and have the ability to work both independently and together with others.

You have a relevant university degree or other education and experience that we assess as equivalent, good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, and a B driver's license. Knowledge of Finnish/Meänkieli is an advantage.
