Job Description

We are now looking for a school counselor for Kungshögsskolan!

We are looking for you who want to help continue developing the student health services at Kungshögsskolan in Malmö. During the upcoming school year, our regular counselor will be on parental leave, and we are now looking for you who want to work with us and are open to a temporary position. In your role as a school counselor at Kungshögsskolan, you will be part of the school's student health team, which, together with the school management, is responsible for health-promoting, preventive, and remedial work for our students. You will work with support for individual students and primarily meet students in larger groups for supportive and guiding conversations, value-based work, promoting attendance, etc. In your work, you will collaborate with external agencies such as BUP (Child and Adolescent Psychiatry), Social Services, and the police. The work includes collaboration with various parts of our student health team and the school's other staff; good cooperation skills are an important prerequisite for success in the role. You will be part of a large student health team at the school. The role requires a good ability to lead yourself in your assignment and daily work. The position is a temporary contract until 2027-06-30.

Qualifications

You have a degree in social work and at least two years of experience in social work with a focus on children and young people. We would appreciate if you have experience working as a school counselor.

You have good insight into the school's goals and governing documents, as well as knowledge of other departments and, for example, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP). You also have knowledge of practice and guidelines in the field.

Experience with documentation in Prorenata is an advantage.

As a person, you easily build relationships, can lead yourself in your assignment, and collaborate well. The work can be intense at times, which places demands on stress tolerance.
