A pleasant clinic in Eskilstuna with excellent development opportunities is looking for a specialist physician in pulmonology or allergy who can work broadly – if you have specific areas of interest within pulmonology, these can be accommodated!

Your responsibilities:

As a physician with us, you will work in both outpatient and inpatient care. Work in the outpatient department involves, for example, conducting clinic visits, participating in team rounds within both oxygen/ventilator services and cancer care. Other common tasks include performing pulmonary procedures such as bronchoscopy, EBUS, and thoracic drainage. Furthermore, work in inpatient care focuses on inpatients with lung diseases.

In addition, there is ongoing development work within the pulmonary field. Since the clinic has a county mandate, there is a need for high availability for consultation with physician colleagues throughout the county. In addition to the tasks mentioned above, the role also involves supervising ST (specialization training) physicians.

Your qualifications:

• Specialist physician/consultant with a Swedish medical license and specialist degree in pulmonology.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.
• You are a person who is secure and stable and has good communication skills.
• You are a person accustomed to taking personal responsibility and find it easy to collaborate with others.
• Cultural awareness.
• Structured and proactive.

About the clinic:

To succeed in the role of physician at the clinic, continuous collaboration with other staff – administrators, medical secretaries, assistant nurses, and nurses in both outpatient and inpatient care – is essential. Physicians and nursing staff work together during certain patient visits and collaborate on clinic-wide issues and improvement projects. Currently, physicians specializing in lung diseases do not have on-call or standby duties. However, there is a plan to introduce an on-call line in the future. The Infectious Diseases and Lung Clinic is a county clinic with just over 120 employees. We operate in infectious diseases, lung diseases, and specialized adult allergy care.

The Pulmonary Section is responsible for specialized lung and allergy care for adults throughout the region. The section runs extensive outpatient services at its own clinic. The clinic is well-developed and staffed with nurses specialized in allergy, oxygen, and ventilator services, as well as contact nurses for the lung cancer process. Currently, the position does not include evening or night on-call duties, although some weekend work may occur. Our lung physician group consists of pulmonary specialists, consultants, and ST physicians.
