We are looking for an experienced Registrar for a consulting assignment starting in mid-June 2026. The assignment spans the summer and autumn with the possibility of extension, totaling between 3.5 and 6 months depending on the organization's needs. The client is a small municipality located approximately 30 minutes from Gävle. The work is performed on-site at the client's location and cannot be combined with remote work.

You can work as a subconsultant or as an employee of our company.

What you will do

You will step into an established support function and quickly take responsibility for ongoing information management. The role is broad and operational but also offers room to contribute to the improvement of routines and processes. You will collaborate closely with colleagues in archives and administration and serve as a support for the entire organization regarding document management and public information.

In practice, this involves daily work with registration and diary management, issuing public documents, advising operations, creating steering documents, training initiatives, and participating in projects related to information security and data protection. Some mail handling and administration are also included.

Who we are looking for

You have worked as a registrar or archivist in the public sector and feel confident with the regulations. You do not need to be trained in the basics — you are already a role model and can take independent responsibility from day one.

The following are mandatory to be considered:

  • At least two years of documented experience in the role of registrar or archivist within municipal operations
  • Thorough knowledge of openness, confidentiality, and the laws governing public administration
  • Independent working style with good ability to prioritize and structure
  • Full on-site presence throughout the assignment period without longer planned absences
  • Ability to start no later than June 15, 2026

The following will strengthen your application:

  • Education in archival and information science or equivalent
  • Practical experience with the Ciceron system
  • Experience applying GDPR in a public environment
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

Practical Information

Scope: Full-time, 40 hours per week, normal hours 08:00–17:00

Location: Gästrikland, approx. 30 minutes from Gävle, on-site work required

Start: As soon as possible, latest June 14, 2026
