About the position

Personal assistance is a service under the LSS Act (Act concerning Support and Service for Certain Functionally Impaired Persons). In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that arises in daily life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves protecting the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the client's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.

The client is a 22-year-old woman living in Lund who has a muscle disease that means she needs help with most things that may arise in her daily life. As her assistant, you will accompany her to university and to her various activities, which include going to the cinema, visiting the library, preparing simple meals or baking, and she also appreciates occasional trips out for coffee and socializing. Her interests are art, playing video games, role-playing, and reading detective novels. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends. You are required to be fluent in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing, as the family is multilingual.

Who are you?

The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take the initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you as the assistant and the client.

You are a person who is cheerful and youthful in your manner but who is also meticulous and takes great responsibility in your professional role.

Requirements for the position:

• previous experience working in healthcare/care or personal assistance

• good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing

• good physical condition, partly to be active and partly to be able to perform lifting

• non-smoker

• tolerant of pets, as there is a dog in the home

Merits for the position:

• experience with transfer techniques

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. Our client prefers female applicants, but all applications will be considered.

Working hours, degree of employment, and salary

The current form of employment is "Fixed-term contract" with an employment degree of approximately 50%. Shifts are scheduled for day, evening, and night on weekdays and weekends. Working hours vary and are from 07:00-19:00 and 19:00-07:00, with 7.5 hours of on-call time at night.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement, and other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.
