Your challenge

In the role of Accountant, you work broadly with accounting and have special responsibility for the company's growing operations in Germany and the dialogue with the external accounting partner.

In the role, you are responsible for:

• Continuous accounting and ensuring quality in the daily financial work for the Swedish operations.
• Handle account reconciliations and work with large parts of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to K3.
• Prepare the annual reports together with the Head of Accounting.
• Be the main contact person towards the external accounting partner in Germany and ensure correct reporting and timely delivery.
• Handle translation and adaptation between German and Swedish accounting.
• Handle tax, VAT, and employer declarations and support in reporting-related questions.
• Participate in development and improvement projects related to processes, systems, and the future financial structure between Sweden and Germany.
• Collaborate closely with the CFO, Head of Accounting, and other parts of the business in both operational and strategic matters.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects, analyses, and potential future acquisition-related initiatives.

Experience

We are looking for you who have experience with qualified accounting work and who are motivated by taking responsibility, driving improvements, and working close to the business. The role suits you especially well if you appreciate the combination of structure, entrepreneurship, and international contacts.

We would like you to have:

• Post-secondary education in economics
• Approx. 3 years of experience in accounting, for example in the role of Accountant or from an accounting firm
• Good experience with continuous accounting, reconciliations, and financial statement work according to K3
• Fluent skills in Swedish and very good skills in English, both in speech and writing.
• Good system familiarity and good skills in Excel. Meritorious with experience of Fortnox.
• Experience of working with international partners is meritorious.
• Being proactive, self-initiating, and thriving in an environment where change is a natural part of everyday life is a plus.

An interest in food and the restaurant industry, preferably sushi, is seen as a plus.

Sushi Yama is the largest restaurant chain in the Nordic region within the sushi segment and currently has approximately 60 restaurants in Sweden as well as a growing international operation in Germany. The company was founded in 2008 and acquired in 2020 by the PE company Litorina, which has further accelerated the company's growth journey and future plans.
