About the Position

Tingvallaskolan is a primary school (grades F-6) with two to three parallel classes in each grade level, as well as two after-school centers. We work preventively and promotively to create an attractive environment that provides security, well-being, and a calm working atmosphere for our students. We are now looking for a special needs teacher/special educator to lead the work in our "flex" operation at the intermediate level.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be to lead the work with support measures at both group and individual levels, based on assessments and identified needs. There are good opportunities to develop a support service together with teachers and management in a way that benefits student learning.

You will conduct and support teachers in the work with pedagogical investigations and analyze student needs at the organizational, group, and individual levels. You will participate in writing action plans and extra adaptations for students in need of support.

As a special needs teacher, you play an important and active role in the schools' systematic quality work, contributing to identifying, analyzing, and structuring the work on students' knowledge development and goal fulfillment. You will have a key role in our "Flex operation" for grades 4-6 and lead the work there. The position also involves teaching, and it is an advantage if you are a special educator.

In addition, you will have frequent contact with school staff, students, and guardians.

Qualifications

Applicants must have the education prescribed for the position or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You are well-versed in the school's governing documents and preferably have experience with assessment and grading.

You are an engaged and experienced special needs teacher/special educator with strong analytical and reflective skills. You are comfortable documenting student learning and development and have good communication skills. You can use digital aids and tools.

Your approach to the assignment should be solution-oriented, and you should keep the student in focus, as you will work closely with students in need of support. Your engagement and clarity in the role you undertake are of great importance to us. We value your ability to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility. Collaboration with the principal, other educators, and student health personnel is an important part of the work, requiring good teamwork skills.

Conditions

The position is a fixed-term appointment starting from 2026-08-11 to 2027-06-18, with the possibility of extension. Interviews will be held continuously during the recruitment period, and the position may be filled before the stated date.
