1 Position
The Urban Environment Department is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining the municipality's public spaces – parks, green areas, streets, squares, and other urban environments used by residents every day. Our mission is to create safe, accessible, sustainable, and attractive urban environments, focusing on both daily operations and long-term development.
The department works in close collaboration with other administrations, political bodies, external actors, and citizens. We are in a development phase where structure, coordination, follow-up, and quality in governance and working methods are crucial for succeeding in our mission.
About the Position
As a Business Developer within the Urban Environment Department, you will have a strategically important role with great opportunities to influence how the department works, develops, and delivers its mission in both the short and long term. You are a hub in the work of translating goals and governance into functioning processes, structures, and working methods in practice.
You work both strategically and operationally, focusing on strengthening quality, efficiency, and shared vision in the department's work. You collaborate closely with the department's management group and serve as a support to managers in matters concerning business planning, follow-up, and reporting, while also working closely with employees in the organization.
The role also involves representing the Urban Environment Department in cross-administrative contexts, development assignments, and political initiatives. You contribute to ensuring that materials for the board and management are of high quality and that the department's work is followed up in a structured and clear manner.
In your daily work, you will among other things:
- Drive and coordinate development projects and improvement efforts within the department.
- Represent the Urban Environment Department in cross-administrative assignments, working groups, and political initiatives.
- Serve as support to managers in business planning, business follow-up, and reporting.
- Coordinate and follow up on business plans, work plans, steering documents, and internal processes and routines.
- Ensure quality in the department's business reports, interim reports, and materials for the board.
Who are you?
In this role, we see you as someone who has the ability to combine structure, analysis, and communication, as well as plan and organize work efficiently. Since you work with many contact surfaces, we believe you are accustomed to working both strategically and operationally. We believe you thrive in the borderland between governance and operations, and want to help develop urban environment work with a holistic view, clarity, and forward-looking perspective.
We would like you to have:
- Relevant academic education in areas such as public administration or urban planning.
- Experience in business development, business follow-up, coordination, and reporting.
- Good experience and knowledge of black and/or green infrastructure.
- Driver's license (including automatic transmission).
We consider it meritorious if you have:
- Several years of relevant work experience from municipal administration in the role of client or supplier within the urban planning sector.
- Experience in analysis work from municipal administration within urban planning.
