We are looking for a Concrete Construction Manager for a government agency within the transport sector.

This is a consultancy assignment. The location is Stockholm.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

As a Construction Manager, you will be part of the project's construction management organization and lead the work on an access tunnel as well as two stations with associated track and service tunnels, entrances, and ventilation shafts. You will monitor progress regarding cost, time, quality, safety, working environment, environment, and social sustainability in close dialogue with the coordinating construction manager, project design leadership, and other construction management personnel, to whom you report. You are responsible for ensuring that concrete works are carried out according to set requirements and conditions, and you contribute to good collaboration with contractors. In this role, you represent the client in meetings with contractors, designers, partners, stakeholders, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that contracts are executed according to contract documents, including reviewing work preparation plans and ensuring concrete works follow the construction documents.

• Handle notifications and alerts.

• Participate in safety and environmental rounds.

• Plan and ensure that work is carried out according to the project's quality plans.

• Coordinate with adjacent contracts and construction works.

• Ensure that the contractor's control plans are developed.

• Perform spot checks on the contractor's self-control regarding working environment, safety, environment, social sustainability, and quality.

• Point out and report errors and deficiencies, and stop work if necessary when life and health are at risk.

• Review work preparation plans to ensure they meet requirements, designed solutions, and working environment considerations.

• Follow up on certificates during quantity adjustments.

• Assist in economic follow-up by documenting Additional Terms and Conditions (ÄTA) and quantity deviations, reviewing/signing daily logs, checking quantity extractions and invoices, and contributing to forecasts for economy and time.

• Assist project management in planning and coordination in time and space with adjacent operations and facility owners, e.g., Karolinska Institutet (KI) and the Swedish Transport Administration.

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

Higher education at University College or University in construction for at least 3 years.

At least 5 years of experience as a construction manager/production manager in concrete construction.

Experience working on at least one infrastructure project with a contract value over 1 billion SEK, with a public client. (Equivalent to Södra länken, Norra länken, SVOA, Citybanan, Slussen, Förbifart Stockholm, New Metro Line, Traffic Administration, Käppala 900k).

Experience working as a concrete construction manager in at least one project on the client side.

You must have Concrete Class Training Class 1.

You must have Concrete Training for Concrete Repairs.

You must have Concrete Training for Underwater Concreting.

Experience with at least two complex concrete structures (Bridges, Tunnel interiors, Composite structures, etc., with a project budget around 200 million SEK). (Equivalent complexity such as Södra länken, Norra länken, SVOA, Citybanan, Slussen, Förbifart Stockholm, New Metro Line, Traffic Administration, Käppala 900).

Meritorious

You must have worked for at least three years in an assignment where you communicated daily with staff in English.

Have worked in at least one project where systems such as ProjectWise, Chaos, Webforum, or similar have been used.
