About the Position

Welcome to apply for a position at a school in development. With an increasing student population, we are expanding our organization and looking for a new colleague to become an important part of our lower primary school and teaching team.

Nysäter School will have approximately 90 students from preschool class to grade 6 (F-6) for the upcoming academic year. Organizationally, the school belongs to the Western School Area, led by the principal and deputy principal. We have good access to student health staff (school nurse, school counselor, and special educator) on a weekly basis. The work team consists of teachers for grades F-3, teachers for grades 4-6, resource/special teachers, an student coach, and collaboration with after-school care staff. In some grades, a split-class format (B-form) may be used during certain academic years.

Within our school area, we want every student to develop into their best self. Students should feel safe and well-being in school, have trust in the adults around them, and experience stimulating and challenging teaching.

You are a responsible and clear-headed educator with a positive attitude and good communication skills.

You have a welcoming manner and find it easy to build relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

You are flexible regarding both short-term and long-term changes, which are a natural part of the pedagogical work. You have the ability to organize and plan activities at both group and individual levels.

Responsibilities

You will plan, implement, and evaluate your teaching in relation to student learning and the school's governing documents. Initially, you will receive the preschool class with the ambition to follow the group up to grade 3. The position involves close collaboration with colleagues and active participation in the school's overall quality work.

• Take responsibility for and have insight into student results, which means being attuned to each student's conditions and needs.
• Have high expectations for students and their ability to develop.
• Capture and stimulate students' curiosity, interest, and learning.
• Take responsibility for developing and growing in your profession.

Qualifications

• Eligible and licensed teacher for grades F-3.
• Meritorious: Experience in the teaching profession and good knowledge of implementing adaptations for students in need of support.

Conditions

Permanent full-time position with start date according to agreement.

A certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) must be presented before the employment begins.
