Your Role

As a childcare worker, you work in a team together with preschool teachers and other childcare workers. Together, you create education that is joyful, educational, and meaningful for every child. Our operations are guided by the motto "I can, I want, and I dare!" Based on play, we believe in the competent child and work with action research. Children's participation and influence are a natural part of our operations. In your role, you contribute to creating care, security, and pedagogical activities that promote children's development and learning.

The role includes planning, implementing, following up, and evaluating operations together with colleagues based on the preschool curriculum, regulatory documents, and set goals. You work project- and subject-oriented and document children's learning processes within the framework of our systematic quality work. You actively participate in pedagogical documentation and development work. During the autumn, we will have a special focus on children's language development, where aesthetic forms of expression such as drama are a central part.

You will also work with introductions, participate in project work, contribute to parent meetings and pedagogical conversations, and have daily contact with guardians. The position also includes opening and closing the preschool. You belong to either a younger or older children's team. We work with extended work teams, collaborate across departments, and help each other when needed. Close collaboration and a positive team spirit are something we value highly.

Your Experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• Upper secondary or post-secondary education as a childcare worker.
• Experience working as a childcare worker in a preschool.
• Experience and good knowledge of pedagogical documentation.
• Good digital competence and familiarity with digital tools.
• Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Knowledge and long-term experience with children in need of special support, focusing on autism and intellectual disability.
• Knowledge and experience in communicating with the support of PECS (TAKK) and/or picture support.

You are self-reliant, proactive, and confident in making decisions on the spot. You dare to raise issues that need discussion and stand behind joint decisions. You see yourself as an important puzzle piece in a team where trust, respect, and a good tone are crucial for creating a good work environment.

You create security in the children's group and always have the children's best interests and the needs of the operations in focus. Above all, you are present and available in your meetings with the children, and you want to be a secure and significant adult who makes a difference in their daily lives and contributes to their development. What We Offer

Växthuset Preschool is part of the Sickla principal area, located centrally in Nacka, about 10 minutes by bus from Slussen. We are a newly renovated preschool with three departments and a large common yard. We work with groups within groups and have created common structures and procured basic material for each team to ensure equality.
