About the Position

Join a school in development. With a growing student population, we are expanding our organization and looking for a new colleague to become an important part of our middle school and teaching team.

Nysäter School

Nysäter School has approximately 90 students from preschool class to grade 6 for the upcoming school year. Organizationally, the school belongs to the Western School Area, led by the principal and assistant principal. We have good access to student health staff (school nurse, school counselor, and special educator) on a weekly basis. The work team consists of teachers for grades F-3 and 4-6, resource/special education teachers, student coaches, and collaboration with after-school care staff. B-form (split classes) is used in some grades and may be relevant in certain school years.

Responsibilities

You will plan, implement, and evaluate your teaching in relation to student learning and the school's governing documents. Initially, you will serve as a mentor for a grade 4-5 class in B-form, but also teach in other groups based on your subject qualifications. The position involves close collaboration with colleagues and active participation in the school's overall quality work.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Taking responsibility for and having insight into student results, which means being attuned to each student's conditions and needs.
• Having high expectations for students and their ability to develop.
• Capturing and stimulating students' curiosity, interest, and learning.
• Taking responsibility for your own professional development and growth.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are qualified and licensed as a teacher for grades 4-6 with qualifications in core subjects as well as Science/Technology (NO/tk).

It is meritorious if you are a licensed teacher with a few years of experience in the teaching profession and have good knowledge of implementing adjustments for students in need of support.

Conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date to be agreed upon.
