The Eye Care Unit at Skåne University Hospital (Sus), with approximately 230 employees, operates in both Malmö and Lund.
The department is at the forefront of both basic and specialist training for physicians. Extensive research is conducted at the Department of Ophthalmology within Lund University. In addition to meeting the eye care needs of residents in Malmö and Lund, we also provide regional healthcare for the entire Region of Scania, as well as Halland, Kronoberg, and Blekinge.

RESPONSIBILITIES
We are currently seeking a specialist physician with a focus on plastic surgery.
The role includes outpatient clinic duties and on-call readiness for one evening/night or holiday per month. Training of Specialty Training (ST) doctors and newly qualified specialists is an important part of the position. There are significant opportunities to conduct research within eye diseases.
The position is based at the Eye Care Unit at Sus, with the primary location in Lund.
QUALIFICATIONS
The position requires that you are a licensed physician with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare and hold specialist competence in ophthalmology. Proficiency in Swedish at a minimum level of C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is mandatory. You must have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision.
Experience in plastic surgery and research is meritorious.
At a university hospital unit, physicians are required to have pedagogical experience and education. This can be acquired through supervising, for example, nursing and medical students, as well as doctors in training, and as a co-supervisor or main supervisor for doctoral students. Clearly describe in your application any completed or planned pedagogical courses, as well as experience in supervision and teaching at various levels.
We look for someone who is goal-oriented and has strong collaboration skills. Furthermore, you are interested in teamwork, development work, and leadership. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability. Interest in research will also be weighted highly.
