About the Operations

The primary school/adapted primary school operations are part of the Education Administration. The operations cover 21 primary schools as well as adapted primary schools, with a total of approximately 4,500 students. Four of the primary schools are upper secondary schools, while the others, with a few exceptions, cover grades F-6. The operations also include after-school centers.

About Zederslundsskolan

Zederslundsskolan is a grades 7-9 school in central Motala with close proximity to public transport. Our school philosophy:

• It should work – a positive basic attitude.
• Everyone is equally valuable.
• Teaching in constant improvement.

Approximately 300 students attend the school. During the school day, students are often divided into different teaching groups in core subjects and modern languages, for example. We have a high proportion of qualified teachers and work in work teams and subject teams for the students' development towards higher goal achievement. In recent years, the school has worked on school development in collaboration with the Swedish National Agency for Education to improve teaching.

Being employed at Zederslundsskolan means you are involved in building a new school culture together with staff who previously worked at two different schools. The classrooms are well-equipped with projectors and, in some cases, smartboards. Students have one-to-one loan computers and work with TEAMS as a learning platform. Student democracy is important at the school, with a well-developed student council and class council.

Job Responsibilities

Usual tasks as a teacher with the main assignment to plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in grades 7-9. The assignment also includes mentorship, etc.

Qualifications

• Teacher certification with eligibility in Mathematics and Natural Sciences for grades 7-9.
• You are confident in yourself, stand up for your opinions, and have the courage to speak up when necessary. You have the ability to distinguish between matters and persons and can feel secure even in uncertain situations.
• You take active initiative in social contexts, step forward, and find it easy to create and maintain new relationships.
• You have a good understanding of how humans acquire knowledge and of people's different prerequisites. You adapt your way of conveying your message to the recipient.

Employment and Working Hours

Employment type: Permanent position.
Working hours: Vacation employment with annual working hours.
