Job Responsibilities

Join us in launching Söderkulla DV!

We are looking for dedicated activity leaders for Day Activity Services (DAS) according to the LSS Act (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). The role involves close user support where you assist individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities who have extensive support needs in their activities. The work requires a calm, secure, and low-affective approach. We work with clarifying pedagogy and low-affective interaction. Care tasks are performed based on the user's needs. You contribute to security and meaningfulness by adapting the activities to the user's abilities and needs.

The activity is in the startup phase, which gives you the opportunity to shape working methods, routines, and content together with colleagues. The startup phase involves varied tasks, flexibility, and close collaboration within the work group to create a secure and well-functioning activity.

Together with other staff, you are responsible for planning, implementation, evaluation, and development of the activity. The tasks also include documentation as well as drawing up activity descriptions, implementation plans, and action plans based on the user's needs and interests. You have both administrative and practical responsibilities and are expected to participate actively in change work and work solution-focused for the benefit of the users.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you must have completed and passed studies from the Care and Nursing program or the Child and Youth program, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

It is a requirement that you have:

  • Experience working with users with autism and intellectual disabilities with extensive support needs within person group 1 (Pg1) according to LSS
  • Experience working with clarifying pedagogy
  • Experience working with low-affective interaction
  • Experience and competence in working with individuals with challenging behavior and complex support needs
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as long walks and cycling
  • Valid B-driver's license

To succeed in the role, you should be confident in independently leading and supervising users within day activity services.

We are looking for you who have a good view of humanity and a respectful approach, as well as a well-developed pedagogical ability. You have the ability to collaborate and work closely with the users to create content for the activity together. The work requires you to be flexible, responsive, and creative. You have good social competence and can adapt to different situations and people. Furthermore, you are independent and secure in your professional role.

The tasks may change and develop over time. This means you need to be flexible, able to reprioritize when necessary, take own initiatives, and make independent decisions. You have a good ability to handle stress and can adapt to changed conditions. You have good computer skills and can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Experience with documentation work is meritorious.
