to apply for the job
Do you want to work closely with children, their families, and networks to make a real difference? Then this might be the job for you! In our teams, we work closely together, creatively shape interventions based on the family's needs, and have fun along the way. We are now looking for a colleague to join our children's team on a parental leave cover for approximately 10 months.
About the workplace
In the city, the Social Services Administration is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable residents to become independent in life so that they can take an active part in society.
We are organized with a focus on creating a more accessible social services system based on three main areas: authority, interventions and services, and housing. We believe in strengthening what works and finding solutions together with the families' own networks.
Welcome to a workplace where commitment, collaboration, and development are at the center!
As a Family Therapist, you will become part of one of our family support units within Interventions and Services. We offer outpatient interventions for children and young people aged 0–20 and their families. We are divided into children's teams and youth teams where we work systematically with families and networks.
With us, you will meet experienced and committed teams with broad competence and a wide range of methods. We adapt interventions to each family's needs and work together to create sustainable changes.
Job Responsibilities
As a Family Therapist with us, you work both on behalf of the authority with benefit decisions, as well as with interventions without needs assessment where the family themselves seek us out for help and support. The goal is to strengthen parental capacity and create conditions for children and young people to be able to live at home and have their needs met within their own family. The administration is currently undergoing a comprehensive implementation of Signs of Safety, which will permeate future work in all parts of the administration.
Our work culture is characterized by collaboration, openness, and genuine commitment. We believe that change occurs through trust, communication, and support – and we always strive to give families the tools for independence and hope for the future.
What we offer – a workplace that supports your development and well-being
With us, you get a secure and welcoming start. You are introduced by the unit manager, team leader, and committed colleagues who are close by to support you in both your work and your professional development. We offer continuous competence development, supervision, and a work climate where experience sharing and learning are a natural part of everyday life.
You will also have access to:
- External supervision to strengthen your professional role and reflect on the work
- IT support and system administrators who help you with technology and digital tools
- Lawyers and occupational health services who contribute to security and support in complex situations
- Wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK/year (for full-time employees) – so that you feel good even outside of work
We believe in a workplace where you get to grow, contribute, and feel proud of what you do – every day
Qualifications
To succeed in the role of Family Therapist, you need to have:
- A degree in Social Work or another university education that the employer deems equivalent
- Ability and willingness to work both practically and conversationally with families
- Good experience with documentation, preferably in Journal Digital
- Category B driver's license and experience driving a car
It is meritorious if you have:
- KIBB training
- Signs of Safety training
- Experience of change work within social services, focusing on children, young people, and families
- Experience of working with domestic violence, interaction and attachment, as well as with persons with reduced cognitive ability
- Training and experience in the Marte Meo method
You also need to be able to:
- Work in environments where animals are present, as home visits are a natural part of the work
We are looking for you who:
- Is a humble team player who thrives in teams and contributes to a positive work climate
- Has a genuine interest in change work with the child's needs in focus
- Is motivated by being in a dynamic process where you alternate between leading and following the families
