Description:

We are now recruiting for a temporary position as a teacher involving instruction in grades F-6 and part-time work at the after-school care center (fritidshem). Svensby School is a F-6 school with approximately 90 students and an after-school care center, located in Västra Ämtervik, Sunne. At the school, we collaborate across grade levels and between activities to achieve the best possible learning environment, utilizing resources based on student needs. The school is close to nature, offering opportunities for outdoor pedagogy. We work with differentiated instruction and a language- and knowledge-developing approach.

We engage in break-time activities where students help lead, increasing activity, safety, and structure during breaks.

Responsibilities:

This position may include teaching on both the lower and middle school levels and comprises one day per week at the after-school care center. The specific grade levels and subjects you will teach will be coordinated with existing teachers and school leadership to ensure a cohesive whole.

Your responsibilities will include leading and taking responsibility for the pedagogical work according to the curriculum's mission. You will plan, implement, and evaluate the pedagogical work in collaboration with educators and other staff at the school. Mentorship may be included in the position, where you are expected to conduct meetings and development talks with guardians. You will work process-oriented together with mentors and student health services. Among us, you will find colleagues in a strong community who all participate in supervision and targeted training.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a teacher with valid authorization and certification for the earlier years of elementary school. You have a holistic view, interest, and commitment to the entire student's development, are flexible, have the ability to adapt, and can teach at different levels using different methods. You need to be calm and stable, as well as have great patience and the ability to wait for the student based on their prerequisites and needs.

Conditions

A valid extract from the police criminal record must be presented before employment can commence. Interviews are conducted continuously during the recruitment period, and employment decisions may be made before the final application deadline. The position is a temporary contract from 2026-09-14 until the end of the school year 2027-06-09, subject to necessary approvals.
