Educator for Parent Cooperative Kojan in Mora

Do you want to work in a small, nature-oriented preschool with great dedication and close collaboration between staff and families? We are now looking for an educator for Parent Cooperative Kojan in Mora.

About Us

Parent Cooperative Kojan is a small-scale preschool located in Hemus, Mora. We are a parent cooperative run as an economic association where guardians are involved in the operations by sitting on the board or holding other roles.

About 18–20 children aged 1–6 attend our preschool, and we work with high staff-to-child ratios in small groups. Our operations are characterized by security, community, and close collaboration between educators and families.

We have a clear focus on nature and technology, where children's curiosity and desire to learn are central. Through play, exploration, and experiences in nature, children develop using all their senses. We are close to the forest and also work with Friluftsfrämjandet's activities such as Skogsmulle, Knytte, and Knopp.

A major strength of ours is our own chef who cooks meals from scratch, focusing on organic and locally sourced ingredients.

About the Role

As an educator at Kojan, you are an important part of creating a safe, creative, and inclusive environment for the children. You work together with preschool teachers and educators in a small team where everyone actively contributes to the development of the operations. Your responsibilities include:

  • participating in the planning, implementation, and development of education according to the curriculum (Lpfö 18)
  • participating in pedagogical work together with the team
  • working based on the curriculum and children's individual needs
  • stimulating children's development and learning through play and exploration
  • actively working with outdoor pedagogy and nature experiences
  • creating a safe, fun, educational, and inclusive environment for all children
  • collaborating closely with guardians in the spirit of the cooperative

We are looking for someone who

  • is trained as an educator
  • is confident in your professional role and has a professional approach
  • is engaged, responsible, and flexible
  • has a warm and attentive approach
  • has an interest in nature, outdoor pedagogy, and exploratory working methods
  • sees the value in close collaboration with guardians

Experience working with children in need of special support is an advantage.

Personal suitability is highly valued.

We offer

  • small child groups and high staff-to-child ratios
  • a family-oriented work environment with short decision-making paths
  • good opportunities to influence and develop operations
  • a nature-oriented workplace with a focus on outdoor pedagogy
  • own chef who cooks meals from scratch

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Trained as an educator

Merits:

  • Experience working in a preschool
  • Interest in nature and outdoor pedagogy
  • Experience working in small operations
