Do you want to make a difference for children and families in our municipality? Are you engaged, empathetic, and eager to support families and parents in various life situations? We are now looking for two new colleagues who want to become part of our wonderful team of parent advisors.
Become part of our parent advisory team. Together, we create a stronger start for our youngest residents. For the past year, six parent advisors have been placed in school social work teams at schools and preschools in Ludvika Municipality, working together to create safety, support, and good relationships for children and families. Now we want to grow – and hope to find two people who want to contribute their competence, warmth, and commitment. Ludvika Municipality and Central Student Health Services are looking for two new employees for an exciting assignment within a cross-professional collaboration between IFO (Intervention for Children in Need of Special Support) and preschool/school. In collaboration with colleagues from preschools, schools, and social services, you will work to strengthen children, students, and their families. By identifying and meeting needs early, we can prevent problems and create a better future for our children and young people.
Responsibilities
- Support parents: Provide advice and support to parents regarding children's development and well-being.
- Lead parent groups: Organize and lead groups where parents can exchange experiences and receive support in their parenting role.
- Collaborate: Work closely with preschools, schools, and social services to create a better future for our children and young people.
- Identify needs: Early identification and awareness of norm-breaking behaviors or other challenges.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have an academic degree with a focus on social work, behavioral science, or similar. For the position, you must also hold a valid driver's license (Category B), have good knowledge of child development and needs, and possess good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children, families, and/or within preschools, the school system, or as a family therapist.
- Training in parent support.
Personal Qualities
You have a positive approach in interactions with people. You have good teamwork skills and see the team as an asset. You are empathetic, sensitive, and have a genuine interest in working with children and young people. You are solution-focused, structured, and have a good ability to build trusting relationships. Your flexibility and adaptability allow you to handle different situations in a professional manner. To succeed, your personality is important, and therefore great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities.
What we offer:
- Meaningful work: The chance to make a real difference in the lives of children and students.
- Supportive work environment: An engaged team and a stimulating work environment.
- Development opportunities: Continuous competence development.
