Individual and Family Care
Individual and Family Care is a department consisting of three units: children and family, adults, and administration, with a total of 20 employees.
In the children and family unit and the adult unit, both social secretaries and staff working with outpatient care in various forms such as treatment, family support, or family therapy work. The operations are led by a head of operations.
The children and family unit is now looking for a social secretary. The unit consists of senior case officers and social secretaries who work with reception, investigation, and follow-up of interventions, family law, and foster homes. It is a small municipality and a relatively small operation where cooperation is paramount. We help and support each other in the cases the unit is responsible for.
The unit handles cases concerning children and young people from 0 to 21 years old. This involves exercising authority based on the Social Services Act and the Act of Care of Young People. The unit also investigates foster homes, contact families, contact persons, and handles family law cases. We now also work with interventions without benefit decisions based on the new Social Services Act.
There is ongoing development work based on the new Social Services Act, of which you will be a part.
Job Responsibilities
In the role of social secretary, your tasks include:
- Having close cooperation with key people in the child's/young person's network, focusing on ensuring that the child has a good and secure life
- Investigating and assessing the child's needs, following up on interventions, and sharing responsibility with colleagues for the unit's reception function
- Collaborating with both internal and external parties
The role involves both exercising authority and, if necessary, therapeutic interventions based on the new Social Services Act. As a social secretary here, you will follow the case from the initial report/application, through investigation, to possible implementation. The work may include leading various group activities and, if necessary, some evening duties. Other tasks may also occur, and the content and conditions of the work may change over time.
We are a social services office that appreciates flexibility and a lack of hierarchy, and our work is characterized by solution-oriented interventions.
Qualifications
- A degree in Social Work or another equivalent higher education degree in a relevant field
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- You should be well acquainted with the case handling requirements and the legislation governing the operations
- Good computer skills
- Category B driver's license
It is an advantage if you have previous knowledge of the Lifecare operation system and if you have previously worked with social work or exercising authority.
