Personal Assistant for a Girl in Avesta

On behalf of our client, we are currently looking for a personal assistant for a 15-year-old girl in Avesta. The client has Dravet syndrome, which involves epilepsy, autism, and a mild intellectual disability. She needs someone by her side around the clock and is looking for a positive, stable, and calm person to help her in her daily life.

Your Profile

For us, the most important thing is that you click with the client and her family. We are looking for someone who is perceptive, empathetic, and respects the client's integrity. You should be able to make independent decisions, have a good sense of humor, be responsible, and easy to collaborate with. It is also important that you can take a step back when the situation requires it.

We are looking for someone who is playful, proactive, and enduring. Personal suitability is of great importance.

Qualifications

Experience working with children is a requirement. Experience with epilepsy or knowledge of using signs/pictures as support in communication is advantageous.

Tasks and Conditions

The assistance is provided where the client is located, which may include work at home, during horse riding, or while traveling. Working hours vary between days, evenings, weekends, and awake nights. We are looking for assistants for the summer as well as substitutes. There is a chance for continued employment after the summer.

Basic training in autism and individual and family care (IFO) will be offered before work begins. An extract from the criminal record will be requested.
