We are now looking for a Head of Payroll for a longer-term consulting assignment with an established company in Jönköping. Here you will have a central role with significant responsibility for payroll and compensation processes, as well as the opportunity to influence working methods, systems, and future strategies.

📍 Location: Jönköping 🏠 Remote work: 40% 📅 Assignment period: June 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026

About the Role

As Head of Payroll, you are responsible for ensuring efficient, accurate, and competitive payroll and compensation processes in a complex organization. The role combines operational responsibility with strategic development work and involves close collaboration with management, HR, and other key functions.

You will be responsible for, among other things:

• Having overall responsibility for payroll and compensation processes with a focus on quality, delivery, and schedule.
• Driving development and improvement work within processes, labor law, and system support related to payroll and C&B.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations regarding tax, labor law, and collective agreements.
• Responsible for controls, follow-up, and audits within the payroll area.
• Leading, coaching, and developing the team and direct reports.
• Serving as an expert support and advisor on payroll and compensation issues.
• Ensuring efficient use and further development of the payroll system Visma Agda PS.
• Further developing processes and frameworks within Compensation & Benefits, including salary structures, benefits, and incentive programs.

We are looking for someone who has

• Vocational higher education as a payroll specialist or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in qualified payroll work.
• Experience in driving or having overall responsibility for the payroll process.
• Experience from leadership roles.
• Experience with Visma Agda PS or a comparable payroll system.
• Experience in payroll management for collective agreement members (BC).
• Experience within the Compensation & Benefits area.
• Good knowledge of tax legislation, labor law, and collective agreements.
• Very good communication skills in Swedish and English.
