We are expanding with more school units, strengthening our existing units, and preparing for improved student health. We are now looking for an engaged school counselor who wants to contribute to promoting the psychosocial health, learning, and development of children and young people.

As a school counselor in Bjuv Municipality, you are part of the central student health team, which includes medical, psychological, psychosocial, speech therapy, and special pedagogical interventions.

As the municipality expands with more school units, it is important to ensure equal and high-quality student health for all students.

Responsibilities

As a school counselor, you work to promote students' psychosocial health and contribute to a safe and inclusive school environment. You offer support conversations to students, work preventively and health-promoting, and participate in the school's student health work.

The role includes collaboration with guardians, school staff, and external actors, as well as advisory and consultative support to school staff on psychosocial issues.

Qualifications

• You must have a degree in social work (socionom).
• Experience in psychosocial work with children and young people, preferably in a school setting.
• Good ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and staff.
• Good knowledge of relevant legislation, such as the Education Act and the Social Services Act.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.
