Job Description

Hästö School is located in a quiet residential area near the city of Karlskrona. Approximately 170 students attend the school, and about 90 children are enrolled in the after-school program (fritids). Our vision at Hästö School is: Safe enough to dare - we light a flame. Our goal is to create safe children who are curious and develop their creativity to find their passion in life. We work focused on our core values: safety, responsibility, joy, development, and respect. At our school, digital tools are a natural part of daily pedagogical work.

Our after-school program operates as a large-scale facility. We group students based on activities and interests. Our aim is to offer a safe and creative after-school environment with plenty of room for love and care. Every afternoon, pedagogically planned activities are offered. We spend time outdoors daily to provide space for play and movement, making use of the treasures found in the immediate surroundings of the school.

We are looking for you who have worked for some or several years within the after-school sector. You have a clear image and vision of high-quality after-school activities. You want to be a driving force in maintaining, improving, and developing our operations. Here, you will be part of a team with dedicated colleagues.

We envision you as responsible, positive, engaged, curious, creative, communicative, and solution-oriented. You have a value-based approach and are skilled at building good relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians. You enjoy leading recess activities and have experience and/or interest in driving high-quality recess activities.

As an after-school pedagogue, you also work as a resource teacher in the classroom. Competence and experience working with students with diagnoses within NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) are meritorious. You have good proficiency in the Swedish language and can actively contribute to the basic language-building work in grades Pre-K to 3.

Qualifications

• Licensed teacher in after-school education.
• Qualified and licensed primary teacher towards after-school education/after-school pedagogue and/or experience of working in an after-school setting.
