About the position
We are currently looking for personal assistants in Malmö and the surrounding area for the summer of 2026. As a personal assistant with us, you play a crucial role in creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our clients. You become an important part of their lives and contribute to their independence and well-being.
About you
To thrive in the role of a personal assistant, you are someone who enjoys working with people and can attend to the needs of others. As a person, you are empathetic, responsible, flexible, and a good team player. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and suitability for the role in relation to client matching, and the most important thing is that there is personal chemistry between you as the applicant and the client.

It is an advantage if you
- Have experience within healthcare and social care, and especially within personal assistance.
What does a typical day look like?
It varies! All our clients are unique. Routines and activities may differ depending on who you work for. The tasks are varied but mainly consist of working in the client's home, as well as accompanying the client on various activities and errands. Some examples of tasks include assisting with personal care, medication management, household chores, shopping, cooking, and activities. The work as a personal assistant is generally one-on-one work, although double staffing may occur in some cases. You are there for the client as they live their life based on their conditions.
Lifting during transfers may also occur, depending on the respective client's needs (if needed, assistive devices are also available on site). A position with one of our clients may also mean that you get the chance to try working at different times of the day. It is desirable that you, as an applicant, can work day and evening shifts and/or nights, on both weekdays and weekends.
Scope: Varying employment levels depending on the specific assignment.
Start date: By agreement. Selection is ongoing.
Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with collective agreements.

In the event of employment To be employed by us at Nordström Assistans, you need to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the role. A prerequisite for starting employment with us is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID document as well as a valid certificate of personal data (personbevis) and/or any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. You can easily download the certificate of personal data from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old to work as a personal assistant with us.
If you are to work with children and young people under 18 years of age, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record register. From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply meaning that the register check covers both extracts from the criminal record register and extracts from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing time may vary, so the order should be made in good time.
